Poultry keeping is my hobby and I breed a limited number of good quality rare and traditional breeds of poultry and ducks. All our birds are wormed regularly and are reared on GM free food. As soon as they are large enough to be safe from predators, our youngstock are moved outside into grass.

We have surplus youngstock and adult birds for sale and hatching eggs are available in season. Please click on the link abovefor further details.

Poultry and ducks can make excellent pets, and the majority of breeds that I keep are particularly suited to this purpose due their friendly and laid back temperaments. I often find that cockerels can be the greatest characters and can become exceptionally friendly.

We are not a large commercial venture and do not kill any surplus cockerels and therefore often have beautiful rare breed cockerels for sale at very reasonable prices.

Accommodation comprises 1 double bedroom with 4 poster pine double bed and garden views; bedroom 2 has sea views, kingsize bed, ensuite toilet, bedroom 3 has 2 single beds, which can be linked to make a kingsize bed. Newly fitted kitchen with sea views, rayburn, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine. Large sloping garden with level patio and BBQ area. New bathroom with shower/wc, plus addional wc downstairs. Large lounge diner with stunning views of sea and garden, log burner. Car parking for 1 car (public car park available near by)

Bracken Annexe sleeps 2. Newly refurbished accommodation, new kitchen. Bedroom has sea view. Car parking space for 1 car (2 spaces if Bracken Annexe empty). Well behaved dogs allowed in Bracken Annexe at a small charge, but not in Maxwelton)
